In July of 2003 Leeds Metropolitan Gallery gave us use of their
double height space and technical assistance as part of 'Testbed',
a project to give local artists the opportunity to experiment with
work in progress in a gallery environment.
We hung huge sheets of blank newsprint from the ceiling to create
an environment in which we could project the Malham film. We experimented
with simultaneous filming and projection, filming each other moving.
While filming, we started to explore moving together whilst one
of us held the camera. Our process chnaged to moving with the camera
rather than filming each other's journey.
The gallery was open to the public and people were able to view
our work in process at certain times of the day.
Thank you to Stewart Morgan who dropped in to the gallery and took
these photos. |
