Tamsin chose this space:
"Decked with a flying hat and a bright red duvet jacket, Sarah
& I set off to find the disused aerodrome I had seen on the
map. I had not been there before. I hoped for a huge open, concrete,
desolate space. But I was prepared if it wasn't. In fact, I didn't
expect it to be what I imagined - and it wasn't.
Where the aerdrome was, there were fields, warehouses, tractors
and haystacks. But there was a bit of aerdrome left, so all was
not lost. The sun shone through a morning mist and the flat land
reminded me of my childhood in Lincolnshire.
While moving I found myself thinking about all the pilots that
took off and landed here. And the ones that took off and never came
back."
Sarah:
"I didn't want to leave the car. I felt vulnerable, uncomfortable,
in this wide open, unknown landscape. The car was my anchor as I
filmed Tamsin wandering about in the mist. Then the sun began to
emerge and Tamsin looked amazing weaving in and out of its rays.
This was a valuable lesson, demonstrating that going with the moment,
without preconception throws up unexpected and previousley inconcievable
opportunities."
